Wedding Planner Educator is the resource for those interested in the profession, offering a realistic view on what wedding planning as a business really is. I believe that knowledge and education are powerful tools that support your business development and that give you something to fall back on when you need solutions.
I believe that learning from a professional wedding planner who has been there and who is still in the trenches is vital. Also, I believe in showing students that you are still invested in the process and constantly learning new ideas, and in sharing them with others.
I believe in the process of learning from my mistakes and giving you the “do what I say not as I do” perspective. I have been planning for over a decade. Learn what works and what does not from my experiences. No need for you to recreate the wheel.
When I started my wedding planning business Taylor’d Events by Jennifer in 2005, I had nowhere to turn to learn about starting a wedding planning business, so I muddled through. I became a go-to for other new planners in the area while I grew my business. I added four additional planners and created a unique business model, different from other planning companies. But I faced all of the big questions on my own – when should I change my business name to Taylor’d Events Group to take the emphasis off of me?
How would I make it work?
I needed someone to turn to as my business evolved, and that is why I started Wedding Planner Educator. I recognized that I could do what I truly love by helping other planners start and grow their own businesses. Whether I’m teaching at a local community college or meeting up with a prospective planner for coffee, I enjoy the interaction of helping others and witnessing the “light” turn on when they realize that they, too, can do this!
I started Wedding Planner Educator to help planners start or grow their businesses. Whether you are just starting off or have been in the biz for years, I will pull from my experience to customize a learning experience built just for you.
This is what I believe!
